Dear 2016 and 2017,
I'm so happy that another year has passed, healthy and beautiful. I want to address you, 2016, first.
2016 was an interesting year, it had it's good and bads. I have to say I've had much better years than 2016. Goods, I grew closer to God, got to go to Thailand, met a new Bestie (online), and made so many new friends at my online school. Bads, my Bff moved, my sister went to college, I started to fall behind in school, and I was having problems with certain things. Now, each year has certain bad things and certain good things. No year will be perfect or all bad. Going onto your new year won't always help these things. You need God in your life, and Godly people.
So my final thoughts on 2016 are, even though it wasn't my best year, God had a plan for everything that happened that year.
One word to describe 2016: Hilly.

Now for 2017. I hope this year will be one of the better ones. I'm ready for the hardships, but I can't wait for the awesomeness. I'm praying that I will some how connect with my passion, find new friends, get rid of my habits, and learn that I have a meaning in life, that God chose me for a reason to come to where I am. 2017 might be a much better year, or an even worse one. But I know, if either one comes, I will still be standing strong.
My final thoughts on 2017 are, I hope to be able to stand up faithful and strong this whole year, no matter what comes and tries to make me fall down.
One word to hopefully describe 2017: Firm.

Depression
These are things I felt God telling me to write, please don't get mad at me if you don't agree with what I wrote, thank you :)

Alot of you have probably noticed that people are having depression. It could even be you going through depression. I want to help those people going through that right now. And encourage those who are helping them also.
Depression is not from God. It's something from the devil, that draws you away from God. But when you have Godly people in your life, it helps you. Depression can draw you away from God, but it can also draw you closer to God than you ever have been. (But I'm most definitely not saying that depression is good) Remember when I posted about life being a tightrope? Well, depression is something that will make you slip. It will make you unbalanced. But once you get back on by God's help, you feel closer to God, and you put a tighter grip on his hand.
Why is there depression and things in the world? Well, it started with Adam and Eve sinning. It came with the curse. Of course, God did not create that. You don't hear alot about depression in the bible, but I'm pretty sure people had depression in the bible, they just didn't call it that. The bible doesn't directly talk about depression but there are many verses that apply to depression. I want to show you some and talk about them.

Philippians 4:8, "Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things."
Alot of times, depression starts when the person says untrue things about themselves. Even other people telling them those things, such as, "You were an accident; you should be dead; why are loved, ha, you're the last person that should be loved, or even God doesn't love you no one does so get used to it you'll never be loved." Anything like that. Once those things go into their head they don't go out, they get bigger and bigger, taking over. The person starts to believe those things said to them. They are letting Satan take them over. They get stressed, start failing school, and they can start cutting. Cutting alot of times make them feel as if they're letting out stress, but God didn't create us to just to hurt ourselves or for people to hurt us. I say again, God created us for a purpose and a reason!!

Deuteronomy 31:8, "The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged."
Just like the verse says, God will never leave you. People her have depression also sometimes think that God has forgotten them. Or that they're not important enough to be known by God. Each and everyone is important to God. God will never ever leave one of you out. He knitted us together in our mother's womb. Of course, he didn't really knit us together. But they are saying that God knew what we were going to look like, do, and love. He knows what's ahead of us and he knows what's behind us. He leads us on a straight path, but we don't always listen. We can take another road, and that leads to where we are, depression. But then God comes and saves us, he redirects us.

Psalm 34:17, "The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles."
When God hears your prayers, your cries for help, he will answer them. I know, "But I have been calling, he still hasn't answered," you say. God doesn't always answer right after your cries. God's timing is perfect, not like our timing. God knows what time your prayers need to be answered, it could be soon after, or in time. We just have to be patience and trust in God, he knows what we need and when we need it. It might seem like years, and it might be years. He wants your trust to grow in him. Your love for him to grow, and he wants you to grow in his image, and grow to be more like him. He tells us in the bible that no one is perfect, but his children must grow in his image, to become like him.

John 16:33, “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world, you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
And
Romans 8:38-39,"For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
These two verses have similar meanings. God is telling us that nothing can take us away from him. We can fall away from him, but there will never be anything that will take us away from God forever. The Lord is the ruler of the whole universe. He can do anything, nothing is impossible for God; and there is no one who can stop him. This is hard for us to believe, because, on earth, people have limitations. We can be afraid of many things, but nothing can make God afraid. He will take care of his children, he is the Shepherd and we are the Lambs. The Shepherd will never leave his Lamb to be eaten by the wolf. Christians get hurt, killed, and many other things from the evil people. But do you know what happen to the people are get hurt? They get to help others going through the same situation, their trust grows in the Lord. What happens to the killed? They go to the perfect place, Heaven. There is no evil there, no sickness, sadness, madness, or anything like that. God is there, and Heaven is perfect. We will live there for forever, which is also hard for us to understand. On earth, there is an end to everything. There is no end to heaven, and there is no end to the people who go up to Heaven. Everything happens for a reason.

Asking God
When you ask God a question, or ask him what do do, how do you hear him, or know what he's saying?
1, If you ask God a question that is a yes or no question (example: should i go on a mission trip or stay home and save money?), you'll feel peaceful about the right answer.
2, You feel God speaking to you through the bible.
3, He speaks to you through someone.
4, You hear him audibly.
1, Alot times you'll ask God a question. Sometimes when you pray about the right answer, you feel peaceful, and every weight on your shoulders has been lifted, then you should know your answer. When you pray about the other answer you'll feel as if weight is just being added onto you, and this answer is not from God. Sometimes you don't feel anything. Then maybe you need to read your bible and talk to your pastor.
2, Reading the Bible is a great thing. God can speak to you through the the verses your reading. Some people come up and say, 'God is telling me to tell you to read _________" And once you read that Verse or whatever, you'll feel what God is telling you. Have you guy's read your whole bible? Did you just read because you had and you didn't really think about what God is telling you. Read that bible, and really think about what's in the bible.
3, Alot times God will come to another person, and tell them to tell someone something. He could do that to you. They'll come to you and say 'I feel like God is telling em tell you ____" or something. Or they could come and give you a bible verse, like I said above. Now, if someone comes to you and tells you not to do something, but you feel like God is telling you to do it. Then I think you need to pray some more and really talk to God.
4, Now, this happened ALOT in the bible, but it's not as common now. God still talks to you audibly, or he sends an angel down. But most of the time, God speaks to someone another way. God could totally still talk to you audibly. I'm not saying it's impossible, i'm just saying don't believe the only way God will talk to you is audibly. That is not true. God can speak to you through anything. A picture, a person, a article, a video, a message, a verse, and a trip even. God can do anything.
I've never really had God talk to me yet. But I believe that one day, i'm going to need help, and he's the one i'm going to go to, and he's going to talk to me.

The Tightrope Called Life
Life is like a tightrope. I know, weird, but just finish reading this post, you'll understand.
Your walking a a tightrope. Not alone, God's there holding your hand. He's there balancing you. And if you let go, he'll stay and walk beside you. If you fall, there's always a way up. If a person helps you back up, catches you, or even if you climb a tree. There's a way, just keep looking. And once you get back up, you have God, you can tighten your grip on his hand. And when you reach the end, you'll have peace and joy forever. If you keep your hold on God and Jesus.
This came to me when I was praying one night at a conference this month. Ya'll are welcome to use it. :)

Some of my Thoughts
Ok so I know I've been not posting well, or even keeping my promises, I am super super sorry about that. I've just had so much school and other things going on, I forgot about my blog. I hope I haven't lost any readers in that time. Now today I felt like sharing my thoughts. Hope you enjoy :)
Being an mk can be tough. In the summer kids usually go to camp, hang out with friends everyday, or go do something for the day or weekend. Some mks do do that, but not me. I don't have any neighbors, camps are expensive, and I don't speak the language. Most of my day is texting my friends on the computer and reading. I'm always thinking about how it would be so cool if a girl my age who speaks English would come and move next door. That is possible, but it would be very rare. I have a best friend online, and a best friend who lives 10 mins away from me on a base, I can't go on very easily. I pray everyday, hoping to find a best friend right next to where I live.
Do you ever read those books, and you wish you had a life like a person in the book? Every book I've ever read, I've had that thought in my head at least two times. But those books aren't real, most people don't have lives like that. Nobody lives a perfect life. Many may think they are living perfectly, but no one is perfect. Only God is.
Where I live, I call it my home. But my sisters don't really call it their home, they rather be in the US. I love the USA and when i go there every 4 years, I love it. I have neighbors, foods that I can eat. It's amazing, but it's not my home. It's like a year vacation. My oldest sister is going to college this year, so it's going to be a big change to have only 4 people in the house. We're so used to moving so much, it will be a change for my sister to stay in one spot for so long. The longest we have stayed in one house was 3 years. We are similar to military kids, but instead we don't live on a base, and have English speaking neighbors, or American stores and restaurants. XD
I've had alot of trouble recently about finding what I'm really good at. Alot of people have those trouble. Some people find what their really good at very easily, and some take a long time. It is also hard for me to find out what I'm good at because the things I like, are hard to do here. Of course I'm not complaining, I love where I live, and I would never change it.

The World Without Mks
What would the world be like if there were no mks? Well here are a couple descriptions on what it would be like:
*Less Missionaries
**Kids would be much more sad
***Not as many people would be Christians
****The world wound't be as bright
*Alot missionaries now were mks. They watched their parents do work, and they felt called to do it. Yes of course there would be missionaries, but there'd not be as many as there is today.
**Alot mks are in countries were the kids are poor and there is saddens there. That's where mks come in. They go to the kids, play, talk, and interact with them. They become friends and best friends. They give the kids happier spirits and liven up the life. If the mks weren't there, their life might be depressed, and alot of them might even would die depressed.
***It's true, not as many would be. I once read a story (forgot what it was called) about a guy who didn't want to become a christian, if an adult came to him and tried to talk to him about God, he would tell them to go. He was dying so they wanted him to become a Christian. So one day a girl mk came to him with a bible, he shooed her away. She came back the next day but he shooed her away, but not a mean. She kept going to him every singe day. After a long time of her going to him, he finally let her read from to bible to him. She came everyday and read him parts of the bible. Finally one day once she was there, he told her he wanted to become a christian, he did become. This was a true story. The adults were giving up on him, but that one mk didn't give up on him. She knew that God wanted him to become a christian. Without that mk, the guy wouldn't have became a christian. Alot times kids need other kids to help them believe, but now you know adults even need mks to help them know God.
****Mks brighten up the world. Mks have ideas that are amazing, they go into where they live and try to liven up the world. Where I live, I don't always see alot of people smile. So every time I go somewhere I make sure to smile. Not a fake smile, smirky smile, buy an encouraging smile. Sometimes the person I smile at comes up to me and says I made their day. You can brighten up the world just by smiling. A smile can tell them not to worry, God's with them. Sometimes mks would go up to people and say 'God's with you'. Mks sometimes care for people more that adults can. Not usually with money, but with love from the heart which God lives in. Mks have more passion and liveliness. They don't give up, they keep brightening up the world.

Thursday (Skipping Tuesday and Wednesday)
So yes, i'm going to skip Tuesday and Wednesday, because they were exactly the same as Monday. So you would get very bored, but Thursday got some stuff going on :). So here's Thursday!:
I got up around 7:30, I did my chore and ate breakfast. I fed my guinea pigs and took my dog out. I read my Bible from 8:00 to 8:15, then my dad came in and we started our family devotions. Right now we are going through the Narnia books. After we read a chapter we do a short devotion about the chapter that we just read. We are reading, 'The Horse and His Boy' right now. After devotions I worked on my school. My mom and sisters left to go somewhere at 11:30. I did school until 2:00. At that time, I went down on the 1st floor outside. My dad teaches a car class, and right now we are doing finals. We have to do hands on things on the car. My best friend and one of her brothers were there waiting for their turn. I watched as my best friend and her brother took the test. Then after they left, my mom got home with my sisters and she took me to piano. I have piano every Thursday at 3:30. Once I got home from piano, three more of our friends arrive and my sisters came down, we took the test with them. It was about 5:40 when we were done with the test, we went to the park for 20 mins then our friends left and my sisters and I came home and ate pizza for dinner. At 6:30 my sisters and I had to go down to the 2nd floor to practice with the worship team. This Sunday is youth Sunday, that is when the youths participate in the service, i'm on the worship and i'm singing a special song with my best friend, plus my oldest sister is playing the piano for the special song. This Sunday through Tuesday is also our yearly church camping trip :D. Worship practice ended around 8:30 to 9:00, after that my best friend and her mom (the worship leader) came up and hung out for another 30 minutes. After they left, I got ready for bed and read. I fell asleep and 10:45-11:00.

After devotions I worked on my school. My mom and sisters left to go somewhere at 11:30. I did school until 2:00. At that time, I went down on the 1st floor outside. My dad teaches a car class, and right now we are doing finals. We have to do hands on things on the car. My best friend and one of her brothers were there waiting for their turn. I watched as my best friend and her brother took the test. Then after they left, my mom got home with my sisters and she took me to piano. I have piano every Thursday at 3:30. Once I got home from piano, three more of our friends arrive and my sisters came down, we took the test with them. It was about 5:40 when we were done with the test, we went to the park for 20 mins then our friends left and my sisters and I came home and ate pizza for dinner. At 6:30 my sisters and I had to go down to the 2nd floor to practice with the worship team. This Sunday is youth Sunday, that is when the youths participate in the service, i'm on the worship and i'm singing a special song with my best friend, plus my oldest sister is playing the piano for the special song. This Sunday through Tuesday is also our yearly church camping trip :D. Worship practice ended around 8:30 to 9:00, after that my best friend and her mom (the worship leader) came up and hung out for another 30 minutes. After they left, I got ready for bed and read. I fell asleep and 10:45-11:00.

Monday
Monday:
I had my alarm set at 7:00am, but I didn't get up till 7:30am. I took the dog outside and fed my guinea pigs. I got dressed and went into the LDK (Living room, dining room, and kitchen). Because I got up late I couldn't do my daily chore in the morning, so I planned to do it at lunch. I looked at the clock and noticed that it was 8:30, I went to get my bible, I read until my dad came in for family devotions. That ended at 9:30am. After that I got my school stuff and started school. I did piano, spelling, grammar, writing and reading in the morning. When I was done with those things i noticed it was 12:30, lunch started and 12:00 and ended at 1:00. SO I got up and got my lunch. Because I had started my lunch late I couldn't do my chore......again. I started school back up around 1:15. I did my french. I got distracted and forgot about my math. By the time I remembered it, it was dinner time. My middle sister was out babysitting. I cleared my stuff off the table and and got a plate for me. I put my food on my plate and sat down at the table and waited for the rest of my family. We ate dinner and cleaned up the kitchen. After diner I finally did my chore. Then I grabbed my laundry I needed to fold and turned on the tv. I watched one show when my dad took the remote and put on a movie. The movie ended around 10:15. I had finished folding, I put them nicely back into the basket and went to get ready for bed. By the time my dad prayed ti was 10:45. I read for 5 mins and turned of my light. I set my alarm, turned on my fan, and fell asleep at 11:00.

Sunday (So Sorry!!)
Oh my goodness guys, I am so sorryyyy!! I was so busy Sunday I totally forgot about posting on my blog. So here is Sunday and I will also post Monday today. ;)
Sunday:
So we live above our church on the 5th floor. We just moved in here. When we lived in another house 8 mins from our church we all had to leave at the same time. But now we can just take the elevator down whenever. So I usually wake up around 8 on Sunday. I get up and take my dog outside, feed my guinea pigs, and go say good morning to my parents. I usually get on my computer and check my stuff, and jump in the shower (if I have too). Then once i'm out I get dressed and eat. I usually get down on the 1st floor around 9-9:30. The 1st floor is our cafe area so I hang out around there with my best friend and her brothers. Their mother is the worship leader so she has to get there early to practice. If it's nice out sometimes my best friend and I take her brothers to the park. Church starts at 10:30, and sometimes I have to work in preschool or nursery and I have to be in one of those by 10:15. I am the back up for nursery and preschool, so alot of times I have to go in there with another lady. Like today I had to go into the nursery. We had four kids in there, two 18 months old, a crazy 3 year old, and a 2 year old. Church ended around 12:00 and the parents came and picked up their kids, I finished cleaning the nursery and went out. Most people come down to the 1st floor and talk. I just hung around, said hi to some people, and tried not to get hit by rubber bands. My family and my best friend's family decided to go out for lunch. (We had nothing in our fridge or covered lol) We were going to go to a Mexican restaurant but they were full, so we went to an Indian one. After that we went to our house for about 30 seconds then my oldest sister and I went to our friends house for about 30 mins. After that we met the rest of my family and went to a movie. After the movie we took my best friend and her brother to youth group. Our youth group is on the 6th floor. We got up there and started playing a card game. I was partners with my best friend. After the card game we got snacks and watched our devotion video. We talked about the video and then youth group was over. I helped my dad clean up and went back down to my house. (My dad is the pastor of the church and he also does youth group.) I wanted to watch a show but my mom said to eat first because I hadn't eaten dinner yet. I got out leftover chili and ate that. I started my show, it ended around 10:15. I got up and got ready for bed. I share a bedroom with my middle sister. (Our house is small, our dining room, living room, and kitchen is all in the same area which was about as big as our old house's living room. Then there are 3 bedrooms, a shower and a bathroom.) I set my alarm to 7:00 and fell asleep around 11:00.

Annoying and fun things =D
Hiya guys! So I'm going to show you some things that annoy mks, tcks, and pks etc; plus things that are fun about being an mk.....ya I know kind of confusing but you'll get it once I start.
One of the most annoying things some one can ask an mk or tck is, where are you from? Yes it is very annoying, because alot times some one is born some where and raised some where else of where they were born. So you have to explain the whole thing, and sometimes it takes a long time.
Some people come up and start asking you all these deep questions. Yes, and I was only like 11 when people asked me that kind of things. I would only answer half the question sometimes and it wasn't always super accurate, it was so hard to answer.
The best part, on my view, of being these three things are all the traveling with your family. I loved staying in hotels, and spending all day in the car listening to music, movies, and joking around. Yes, i would get frustrated or mad because of being stuck in the car all day, but I love traveling. I got closer to my family, and got to spend ALOT of family time. xD
Another cool thing about being a pk is you know alot of things about the church. People ask you questions about the church like your important. And most of the time you know the answers ;). You know everybody in the church, and your the back up if you need help some where. Sometimes people say that can't work in the nursery so I have to go in there with another person. I live in the same building as our church so I can go up if i need something and go down for church whenever.

The Trip =)
Hey ya''ll! Ok, so I mentioned before that I was going to go to the place of the earthquake, well, we did.
We woke up at 6:00 am and got dressed and ate. The people said it was going to take probably around 5 to 6 hours to get there, but we got there in 3 hours. Along the way we didn't see any houses fallen down but we saw some with parts of the wall out or side ways. Most of the houses had blue tarps on their roofs, because the roof had cracked and the rain would of gotten into the house. Our first stop was a church. It had no damage except for a brick wall had fallen apart. We loaded off all our donations there and went around the church. We left and went to our second stop. We pulled into his dirt parking lot and that's when we gasped. The grownd had cracked and split about a foot apart. The right part was a couple inches lower than the other side. We went inside and he showed us the damages done. The ground had sunken in about 2 inches in the backyard. The sidewalk was cracked. Basically the ground and sunken in about 5 to inches all the neighbor hood. After that we went inside. He showed us the cracks on the floor and walls, and how the doors couldn't close all the way. Then he took us the the roof top. We saw from there a neighbor who had a super long crack in their drive way. The pastor took us down and into a room. My dad and him talked and we took some pictures. Then we headed home. The highway was still blocked off from a landslide there. So we had to take back roads, or the scenery way.

The Hard Ships (Yes there are hardships and sadness)
Hey, guys! Ok, being a mk is the best thing in my life, but there are scary moments to being a mk. Last week at 10:00pm we had an earthquake. It was a 3.0 here but where it came from was 4 and a half an hour away from us. It was a 7.0 there. About 9-15 people died, and 50-70 people were hospitalized. There were many aftershocks but one thing surprised us again. The next night at 1:30am there was a very strong earthquake. It lasted for about 10 seconds. It came from the same place but this time, it was a 4.3 here and a 7.6 there. A lot more people died, were hospitalized, and MANY people are on the streets without homes or they were living in churches. We hope to go down there in two weeks for giving donations like food, blankets, water. etc. Now these are a very sad thing and I am not saying it is not bad but there are many other worse things that can happen while being a mk. Now I am definitely NOT telling you to not become a mk. We need mks. All I am saying is being a mk is not all about traveling and living in different worlds. That's why we go to a missionary school every four years. They train us for the mission field. Some things we had to do was: eat weird foods, go into a helicopter (some people have to get where they live by a helicopter), my older sis had to go to a boot camp; they couldn't take shampoo, desserts, or anything that you live with, in a house. (but they snuck stuff) They brought bathing suits to go to the river and wash there. They slept in canopies and had a whole in the ground with a canvas around it for a toilet. I was reading the book Teresa of Calcutta today and let me tell you, I was about to cry. It was about Christian nuns who live India and they have a whole bunch of hospital for people who won't get taken in by the city hospital. One for kids, a couple for adults, and then when I stopped reading they had just decided to bring supplies and medicine to the lepers town. The lepers performed a play and even baby Jesus had leprosy. I have alot of missionary books about very sad stories. Some people might wonder how they stand such hardships and sadness. They stand because God is standing with them. If God wasn't there they might be discouraged or not able to handle the pressure and sadness. God's the reason people are able to stand through hardships. So if people go through hardships and sadness without God, it will be really hard. God is the one who gets people through. Just remember that God is always there through hardships and sadness and will NEVER leave you to go through them by yourselves.

Be still in the busyness.
Ok so i have two older sisters and no brothers. So last friday two boys one 3 one 6 came to stay with us for 8-9 days. And let me tell you, boys are alot of work!! Later that day their 15 year old sister came. She and I have been watching the boys most of the time cause my sisters have school. My mom made a schedule so it is a little bit easier to follow that. But my goodness! One of them is a chatter box, and the other one is tries to play with the dog, but he is more like chasing and choking the dog. We also are having are building painted so there are workers and loud noises. It si super crazy right now. It has been so busy i have been forgetting about God. On sunday my dad preached about being still and talking to God. Psalm 46:10 says, "He says 'Be still and know that i am God."'. Sometimes we need to get somewhere my ourselves and just get reconnected to God. No matter how busy you are you need to fight for quietness. Whether if it's early in the morning or at midnight, God will be there in the quietness.
