The Trip =)

Hey ya''ll! Ok, so I mentioned before that I was going to go to the place of the earthquake, well, we did.

We woke up at 6:00 am and got dressed and ate. The people said it was going to take probably around 5 to 6 hours to get there, but we got there in 3 hours. Along the way we didn't see any houses fallen down but we saw some with parts of the wall out or side ways. Most of the houses had blue tarps on their roofs, because the roof had cracked and the rain would of gotten into the house. Our first stop was a church. It had no damage except for a brick wall had fallen apart. We loaded off all our donations there and went around the church. We left and went to our second stop. We pulled into his dirt parking lot and that's when we gasped.  The grownd had cracked and split about a foot apart. The right part was a couple inches lower than the other side.  We went inside and he showed us the damages done. The ground had sunken in about 2 inches in the backyard. The sidewalk was cracked. Basically the ground and sunken in about 5 to inches all the neighbor hood. After that we went inside. He showed us the cracks on the floor and walls, and how the doors couldn't close all the way. Then he took us the the roof top. We saw from there a neighbor who had a super long crack in their drive way. The pastor took us down and into a room. My dad and him talked and we took some pictures. Then we headed home. The highway was still blocked off from a landslide there.  So we had to take back roads, or the scenery way.

Well that's it! See you guys later!

P.S. Don't forget to take the poll at the bottom of the page. And comment if you have a question or an idea for me to write about. :)

The Hard Ships (Yes there are hardships and sadness)

Hey, guys! Ok, being a mk is the best thing in my life, but there are scary moments to being a mk. Last week at 10:00pm we had an earthquake. It was a 3.0 here but where it came from was 4 and a half  an hour away from us. It was a 7.0  there. About 9-15 people died, and 50-70 people were hospitalized. There were many aftershocks but one thing surprised us again. The next night at 1:30am there was a very strong earthquake. It lasted for about 10 seconds. It came from the same place but this time, it was a 4.3 here and a 7.6 there. A lot more people died, were hospitalized, and MANY people are on the streets without homes or they were living in churches.  We hope to go down there in two weeks for giving donations like food, blankets, water. etc. Now these are a very sad thing and I am not saying it is not bad but there are many other worse things that can happen while being a mk. Now I am definitely NOT telling you to not become a mk. We need mks. All I am saying is being a mk is not all about traveling and living in different worlds. That's why we go to a missionary school every four years. They train us for the mission field. Some things we had to do was: eat weird foods, go into a helicopter (some people have to get where they live by a helicopter), my older sis had to go to a boot camp; they couldn't take shampoo, desserts, or anything that you live with, in a house. (but they snuck stuff) They brought bathing suits to go to the river and wash there. They slept in canopies and had a whole in the ground with a canvas around it for a toilet. I was reading the book Teresa of Calcutta today and let me tell you, I was about to cry. It was about Christian nuns who live India and they have a whole bunch of hospital for people who won't get taken in by the city hospital. One for kids, a couple for adults, and then when I stopped reading they had just decided to bring supplies and medicine to the lepers town. The lepers performed a play and even baby Jesus had leprosy. I have alot of missionary books about very sad stories. Some people might wonder how they stand such hardships and sadness. They stand because God is standing with them. If God wasn't there they might be discouraged or not able to handle the pressure and sadness. God's the reason people are able to stand through hardships.  So if people go through hardships and sadness without God, it will be really hard. God is the one who gets people through. Just remember that God is always there through hardships and sadness and will NEVER leave you to go through them by yourselves.

P.S. I have a poll at the very bottom of the main page of my blog, hope you find it and take it!

Be still in the busyness.

Ok so i have two older sisters and no brothers. So last friday two boys one 3 one 6 came to stay with us for 8-9 days. And let me tell you, boys are alot of work!! Later that day their 15 year old sister came. She and I have been watching the boys most of the time cause my sisters have school. My mom made a schedule so it is a little bit easier to follow that. But my goodness! One of them is a chatter box, and the other one is tries to play with the dog, but he is more like chasing and choking the dog. We also are having are building painted so there are workers and loud noises. It si super crazy right now. It has been so busy i have been forgetting about God. On sunday my dad preached about being still and talking to God.  Psalm 46:10 says, "He says 'Be still and know that i am God."'. Sometimes we need to get somewhere my ourselves and just get reconnected to God. No matter how busy you are you need to fight for quietness. Whether if it's early in the morning or at midnight, God will be there in the quietness.

Prayer and God

Hey guys! Ok so today I wanted to share with you some things i was thinking about:

So when i grow up i want to be a horse farmer and a baker. But now i really feel a passion for horses. Where i live now there no horses, but where i lived in America there was a horse camp and stuff. But the only place you can ride horses here is SUPER expensive. So i have been praying alot about, but nothing has come up. And i started to feel like i should just give up, that nothing was going to turn up. Maybe horses aren't just for me, maybe God has something else planned. But i just couldn't help feeling a passion for horses. I couldn't get horses out of my mind. So i decided to keep praying about it. It might not be what God has planned but it is my passion and love.

Don't ever give up on praying even if God doesn't answer right away.  God will answer your prayer either as a yes or no. I haven't gotten my answer yet and i have been praying for almost a month. Yesterday i all of a sudden started sing a song about prayer (I made it up as i went :p):

Everyday we pray for protection
Everyday we pray for your love
Everyday we pray for your guidance, Lord
Everyday we pray, we pray

Everyday we pray and thank you for your love
Everyday we pray and thank you for sending your son
Everyday we pray and thank you for caring for us
Everyday we pray and thank you, Lord

Everyday we pray and you listen
Everyday we pray and you help
Everyday we pray and you answer
Everyday we pray and your are there Lord, Jesus

Everyday we pray

God will listen and he will help you. He might do it in time or slowly. God allows stuff to happen so we pray to him and rely on him more. He will not let things happen to you that you can't handle, or that will be too much. Don't forget to read the bible and trust in God. God is always there, do not forget that!
